Job Title: Lead Field Engineer (Building Automations Specialist)

Job Description

As a Lead Field Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the field commissioning of building automation systems tailored for each customer. We seek a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused team member who exemplifies leadership for other field engineers. You will address complex problems, guide less experienced engineers, and act as a technical expert in the field.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, install, troubleshoot, and optimize customer systems utilizing advanced Direct Digital Control technology.
• Serve as the local contact for technical issues and provide effective solutions for complex system problems.
• Ensure systems operate properly, including controls, sensors, and software.
• Load software, configure trends, alarms, and reports, and implement time management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Communicate and document project status and details for the customer.
• Provide site-specific training to owners/operators on the complete system.

Essential Skills

• Experience in HVAC, computer, electrical, and field technician work.
• Proficiency in controls, building automation, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and field service electronics.
• Ability to use tools like an oscilloscope.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4 years of experience in Building Automation, HVAC, or related field.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree, Associate Degree, or Technical/Business School Certificate in HVAC, Controls, or related field.
• Proficiency with advanced building automation software, such as WebCTRL.
• Expertise with TCP/IP networks, including wireless technology.
• Experience with Siemens Insight, Desigo, or WebCTRL.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.

Work Environment

Typical hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with no on-call shifts in the installation group. Candidates must be capable of climbing ladders and lifting items up to 50lbs if necessary.

Job Type

This is a Contract to Hire position.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $44.00/hr.
