Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Civil Superintendent to manage an extensive project at Delaney High School in Baltimore County, overseeing a three-year site package valued at $18 million. This role involves supervising all aspects of the site package, including clearing, grading, paving, and utilities. The ideal candidate will effectively manage specialty subcontractors and internal staff to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the project schedule; monitor progress, allocate resources, and make adjustments to ensure timely completion.
• Lead the site team by assigning tasks, hiring, and managing subcontractors, and holding site meetings as necessary to facilitate work.
• Oversee the quality of work performed by teams and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Contribute to cost estimation and monitor expenses to ensure the project remains within the allocated budget.
• Act as the key liaison between the construction site and project stakeholders, including the project manager, engineers, architects, and clients, facilitating communication and resolving issues.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of site activities, manage project documentation, and utilize project management software to organize data.
• Enforce company policies to maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Spend 90% of your time on-site, managing day-to-day operations and performing other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience in construction, civil construction, and civil site work.
• Proficiency in commercial construction and subcontractor management.
• Strong skills in construction supervision, ground-up projects, and site construction.
• Expertise in project scheduling and utilities management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with cost estimation and budget monitoring.
• Proficient in project management software.

Work Environment

This position requires full-time on-site work, primarily based out of a project trailer, which could be either internal or the general contractor's. The role involves working in all weather conditions and coordinating with the internal project team, subcontractors, and general contractors. Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Lutherville Timonium, MD.

The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $57.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Lutherville Timonium,MD.
