Laboratory Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on laboratory experience within a rapidly growing organization, with opportunities for skill development and career growth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct microbiology lab testing approximately 80–90% of the workday
- Perform supporting laboratory tasks such as documentation, cleaning, and remedial duties for 1–2 hours daily
- Utilize laboratory techniques and equipment, including:
- Biology and microbiology methods
- Plating
- Pipetting
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Participate in cross-training opportunities and expand technical expertise within the lab
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in biology and microbiology techniques
- Experience working with laboratory equipment and plating procedures
- Strong pipetting and general laboratory skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Biology, Microbiology, or another Science-related field
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and with attention to detail
Work Environment
This position is based in a laboratory setting, with the majority of time spent performing micro lab testing. The remaining time will involve documentation, cleaning, and related support tasks. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
