Job Description
Join our lab assistant team where you would be actively involved in pre-analytical and post-analytical processes of testing. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving incoming samples, logging them into a computer, and preparing the samples to hand off to the lab. The post-analytical process includes sample storage and disposal. This is a great role to start or grow a career in a lab.
Responsibilities:
- Meet couriers to receive samples from all over the USA and internationally and start the tracking process
- Verify all samples arrived (manually or through a data system for larger shipments), inspect for any damage, remove and dispose of packaging, and move samples down the line for entry
- Handle mostly urine samples with some samples including blood, serum, plasma, body fluid
- After entry into systems, create labels and label samples
- Sometimes required to aliquot samples from one into two, centrifuge, or freeze samples to stabilize if needed
Qualifications:
- Must have a high school diploma to be considered
- Can come from serving, cashiers, medical assembler, production workers, PCA workers, etc.
- Must have reliable transportation to be considered
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.75 - $17.75/hr.
