Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description

The position requires ensuring the quality of batch preparation and quality control activities, including process inspection, sampling, and evaluation to meet specifications and quality standards. You will also test incoming and outgoing products for suitability and compliance with appropriate standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform sample setup, sorting, preparation, and clean-up.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation as directed.
• Notify the supervisor of any out-of-range value or variation from accepted norms in operations or product quality immediately.
• Maintain lab records as directed and complete all required paperwork accurately, clearly, timely, and completely with required information.
• Complete data entry into the computer system(s) and ensure all required information is documented in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Prepare reports of results and maintain process control by monitoring and/or generating statistical information.
• Participate in task meetings and suggest changes in work tasks and use of equipment to increase efficiencies.
• Perform daily cleaning of the task area, keeping the work area free of clutter.
• During Clean In Place (CIP), perform detailed cleaning in task areas and wash lab utensils and glassware.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues.
• Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1 year of food manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Time management skills.
• Flexibility to potentially do more work than the job description based on production needs.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and quality assurance.

This is a Permanent position based out of Belvidere, IL.

The pay range for this position is $66476.80 - $66476.80/yr.

They get a $1 increase in pay after a year of work. The following May, they receive a $2 increase. I have the benefits guide for DFA if someone asks for it.

This is a fully onsite position in Belvidere,IL.

This position is anticipated to close on Jul 20, 2026.
