Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated QAL Lab Technician to join our fast-paced production team. This role operates from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, and focuses on accurately performing color application testing in the quality assurance lab. The technician will assess work in process, pre-formulations, and finished goods pigments against established specifications, working under the guidance of the Quality Assurance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Possess comprehensive knowledge of safe operating procedures and practical laboratory practices.
• Conduct procedures and documentation as required by the Quality Management System.
• Perform tests as specified in the Control Manual and QC Records.
• Record and report test results accurately.
• Provide guidance on process adjustments based on test results.
• Calibrate instruments as necessary and document outcomes.
• Conduct safety inspections in accordance with site policies.
• Participate in departmental initiatives such as 5S, Six Sigma, or other team activities.
• Collaborate with leaders and teams in Production, Technology, Plant Technical, and Warehouse departments.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Associate’s degree in science, two years of college-level chemistry, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years of laboratory experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in quality control and assurance.

Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing paint lab, where you will work with various departments and utilize advanced laboratory equipment. The company offers retention bonuses at various intervals to reward your commitment and contribution.

This is a Contract position based out of Goose Creek, SC.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Goose Creek,SC.
