Java Programmer

We are seeking a skilled mobile application programmer with a preference for experience in Kotlin to develop an innovative mobile application that facilitates communication between wireless devices and smartphones. This role involves implementing graphics, mathematical formulas, sound effects, and data handling within a multi-phase project.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop an app to enable communication between wireless devices and smartphones using Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
• Implement graphics, including icons, pull-down menus, and UI elements.
• Develop and integrate mathematical formulas and conversion logic within the app.
• Incorporate sound effects and ensure smooth multimedia integration.
• Work collaboratively with device engineers to implement and test communication protocols.
• Manage CSV file integration, file storage, and data management.
• Build multi-level versions of the app, including Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced models.
• Collaborate on various project phases, adapting to updates, testing, and revisions.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript; experience with Kotlin is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with BLE communication and mobile app development.
• Knowledge of graphics/UI design for mobile applications.
• Ability to implement complex mathematical formulas and data conversions.
• Familiarity with CSV file handling and storage solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in iterative, multi-phase projects.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work closely with engineers and project teams.

• Experience with embedded development and embedded software.
• Exposure to AI components in programming.

The role requires the ability to work onsite one day per week. Candidates will have the opportunity to work with a team that is reinventing 40-year-old technology and engage with AI world components in programming. This is a Contract position based out of Bridgewater, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
