Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated IV Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a closed-door pharmacy setting. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and effective preparation of pharmaceutical products while adhering to federal and state regulations.
Responsibilities
- Mix IV and other pharmaceutical preparations using proper sterile compounding techniques.
- Adhere to all documented instructions, warnings, procedures, and best practices to ensure safe and effective drug preparation.
- Perform environmental monitoring, sanitation, testing, and other activities as required by applicable federal and state pharmacy regulations and USP-797.
- Maintain accurate drug inventory through purchasing, receiving, stocking, pulling, counting, and tracking drug items in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Enter home medication lists and lab results into CPR for the patient's profile when available.
- Clean ante-room and clean room according to USP-797 standards and maintain clean room logs.
- Verify lot numbers and perform periodic checks in inventory.
- Assist with On-Call responsibilities as needed.
- Complete a competency verification plan upon hire and annually thereafter.
- Understand confidentiality regarding company proprietary information and patient/client care; comply with federal and state laws on confidentiality of PHI and EPHI; follow HIPAA guidelines regarding protected health information.

- Efficiency in a fast-paced work environment.
- Computer skills required.
This position operates in a closed-door pharmacy, primarily focusing on at-home infusion. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with rotating on-call weekends mainly on Saturdays. You will work within a collaborative team of 15 people, in an environment that offers room for growth and advancement. This role does not involve direct patient interaction.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chantilly, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
