Description du poste

Lingénieur(e) électrique en automatisation joue un rôle clé dans la conception, la programmation et loptimisation de systèmes automatisés complexes. La personne titulaire du poste gère lensemble des tâches dautomatisation, participe aux activités de recherche et développement, collabore à lintégration dalgorithmes avancés et de composants mécaniques, et assure la mise en service ainsi que le soutien technique continu des installations.

Responsabilités

• Gérer lensemble des tâches dautomatisation, y compris la programmation dautomates programmables industriels (PLC), la gestion des composants réseau et la supervision de la conception des panneaux électriques et des systèmes de commande.
• Participer activement aux sessions de remue-méninges en recherche et développement (R&D) et aux démarrages de projets, en contribuant à la génération didées, à lanalyse des besoins et à la résolution de problèmes techniques.
• Collaborer au développement et à lintégration dalgorithmes avancés et de composants mécaniques afin doptimiser les performances des systèmes automatisés.
• Effectuer la mise en service des systèmes dautomatisation, réaliser les tests fonctionnels et assurer lajustement des paramètres pour garantir un fonctionnement fiable et performant.
• Fournir une assistance technique continue en tant que ressource clé pour le fonctionnement efficace, loptimisation et lamélioration continue des installations.
• Assurer une polyvalence dans les tâches et sadapter aux priorités changeantes afin de soutenir léquipe et datteindre les objectifs opérationnels.
• Collaborer étroitement avec les autres disciplines (électrique, mécanique, automatisation, intégration de systèmes) pour assurer une intégration fluide des solutions en entrepôt automatisé.
• Documenter de façon claire les solutions dautomatisation, les configurations de systèmes et les modifications apportées, afin de faciliter la maintenance et lévolution des installations.

Compétences Essentielles

• Baccalauréat en génie électrique en automatisation ou tout autre diplôme jugé pertinent.
• Membre de lOrdre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) ou CPI et en voie de le devenir.
• Entre 8 et 10 ans dexpérience pertinente en automatisation ou dans un domaine lié à lindustrie de la gestion et de la manutention de matériel en entrepôts automatisés.
• Maîtrise ou connaissance approfondie des langages de programmation GRAFCET, logique Ladder et Texte structuré (ST).
• Excellente connaissance des systèmes électriques de contrôle et de puissance.
• Bonne connaissance des systèmes mécaniques liés aux équipements automatisés.
• Expérience avérée en intégration de systèmes et en gestion de flux de travail dautomatisation.
• Solides compétences en résolution de problèmes, avec une approche structurée et orientée vers les résultats.
• Compétences en programmation dautomates programmables industriels (PLC).

Ce poste Contract est basé à Terrebonne, QC.

La fourchette salariale associée à ce poste est de $45.00 - $70.00/hr.

The electrical engineer in automation plays a key role in the design, programming, and optimization of complex automated systems. The person in this role manages all automation tasks, participates in research and development activities, contributes to the integration of advanced algorithms and mechanical components, and oversees commissioning as well as ongoing technical support for the installations.

Responsibilities

• Manage all automation tasks, including programming of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), managing network components, and overseeing the design of electrical panels and control systems.
• Actively participate in research and development (R&D) brainstorming sessions and project kick-offs, contributing to idea generation, needs analysis, and technical problem-solving.
• Collaborate on the development and integration of advanced algorithms and mechanical components to optimize the performance of automated systems.
• Perform system commissioning, carry out functional tests, and adjust parameters to ensure reliable and high-performance operation.
• Provide ongoing technical support as a key resource for efficient operation, optimization, and continuous improvement of the installations.
• Demonstrate versatility in tasks and adapt to changing priorities in order to support the team and achieve operational objectives.
• Work closely with other disciplines (electrical, mechanical, automation, systems integration) to ensure seamless integration of solutions in automated warehouse environments.
• Document automation solutions, system configurations, and implemented changes clearly to facilitate maintenance and future system upgrades.

• Bachelors degree in electrical engineering with a focus on automation or any other relevant degree.
• Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or CPI and in the process of obtaining membership.
• 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in automation or in a field related to material handling and management in automated warehouses.
• Mastery or advanced knowledge of GRAFCET, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text (ST) programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems for control and power.
• Good understanding of mechanical systems related to automated equipment.
• Proven experience in system integration and automation workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with a structured and results-oriented approach.
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming.
