Job Title: Information Systems Security Engineer
Job Description
As an Information Systems Security Engineer, you will apply current systems security engineering methods, practices, and technologies to the architecture, design, development, evaluation, and integration of systems to maintain system security. You will develop, implement, and enforce information systems security policies, ensuring system security requirements are addressed during all phases of the acquisition and Information System lifecycle. Additionally, you will evaluate proposed security architectures and designs, providing input on their adequacy to meet required security compliance objectives.
Responsibilities
- Review and comprehend living documents, address scans, and update the plan of actions/milestones (POAM).
- Contribute to security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, and assessment & authorization activities for a large complex software-intensive system.
- Support the Government in resolving conflicting system security engineering requirements.
- Take information from the vendor and update in EMASS.
Essential Skills
- 10 years of Cyber experience as an Engineer.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with RMF and ATO processes.
- Proficiency in eMASS.
- Strong background in cybersecurity.
- Active TS clearance with favorable eligibility for an SCI.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to obtain SCI clearance.
- Familiarity with DoD5000.
Work Environment
The position is based in an office building a couple of miles off base at APG in Aberdeen, with a SCIF located in Hanover. The role offers a hybrid remote schedule with two days remote per week, subject to onsite requirements for meetings. Occasionally, travel to different sites including NOVA, South, Midwest may be required. The role supports a program called Electronic Warfare and Cyber (EW&C), with approximately five years left on the contract.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72.11 - $97.00/hr.
