Job Title - In-Process Quality Engineer III

Description

Provide on-floor quality oversight across cGMP manufacturing operations, including formulation, filling, sterilization, packaging, and warehouse activities;

Monitor compliance to meet or exceed site SOPs/cGMPs during production and warehouse operations; Support required QA inspections, including sample defect detection;

Provide primary daily support to the production and warehouse area, including tasks such as packaging line clearance verification, material segregation/containment, low product fill response, rework reconciliations/accountabilities, and documentation real time review;

Respond to exceptions within the operations/packaging areas as primary QA event response personnel, performing initial exception impact assessment, product containment, bracketing, initial scope identification, and direction of immediate actions prior to resuming processing;

Assist personnel in the generation of operations/packaging area related exceptions; Support minor exceptions and phase II manufacturing investigations;

Attend daily operations staff communication meetings;

Participate as team member in Facilities meetings regarding operations Preventive Maintenance/Calibration/Work Order status and scheduling;

Assist in punch list generation and verification, as well as area inspections pre/post activity; Perform weekly walkthroughs of the operations/packaging area and communicate any observations to associated area management;

Support batch release functions on an as needed basis; Accurately complete all documentation including but not limited to batch records, logbooks, and deviation reports in compliance with cGMP and data integrity requirements;

Promptly report and assist in investigation of any contamination events or deviations from aseptic practices

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences) required;

3-6 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality assurance, or aseptic operations required; Ability to pass visual acuity exam for production and identification of quality product purposes;

Ability to read and understand military time is required;

Excellent reading comprehension and attention to detail for interpreting batch records and SOPs; Strong attention to detail and situational awareness while working in fast paced, regulated environments;

Basic understanding of sterilization processes, material flows, and controlled environment requirements;

Commitment to safety, quality culture, and maintaining high standards of compliance;

Demonstrates initiative and sound decision making while working effectively both independently and as part of a team

This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Raleigh,NC.
