Seeking a construction‑focused Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects from kickoff through closeout. This role is responsible for planning, coordination, documentation, and field oversight, working closely with engineers, field crews, and customers. Success in this role is defined less by deep technical design work and more by organization, preparedness, proactive communication, and execution discipline. This is a replacement role with an established scope, where the right hire will bring structure, foresight, and professionalism to active projects. - Manage commercial mechanical HVAC construction projects of various sizes. - Manage and update AC Install construction schedule. - Work with Project Engineers to plan the start of new AC Install projects, such as what is required for safety, crane, tools, labor, materials, rental and so forth. - Attend pre-construction meetings, and jobsite coordination/trailer meetings. - Visit job sites for ongoing projects and report progress. - Facilitate keeping AC installers working. - Attend construction meetings with management and clients. - Manage safety tailgates and job hazard analysis for the AC Installers, onsite inspections, attend monthly safety meetings, and work with the safety department. - Conduct progress and final Quality Assessment on projects in the field. - Manage AC construction warranties, field redlines, and as-build plans. - Assist in other tasks as assigned by management. Manage mechanical cooling and refrigeration construction projects of various sizes from start to finish Manage and update construction schedule and manpower Work with Project Engineers to plan the start of new projects, such as what is required labor, materials, equipment, manpower, rentals and so forth Conduct progress and final Quality Assessment on projects at jobsites Visit job sites for ongoing projects to manage field progress Attend construction meetings with management Manage construction warranties, field redlines, and as-build plans Safety (manage safety tailgates and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), onsite inspections, attending monthly safety meetings, and working with the Safety Department to keep construction safe) Coordinate equipment delivery Assist in other tasks as assigned by management Manage ground-up HVAC construction projects across Southern California, with occasional travel to Dallas, Las Vegas, and the Bay Area. Oversee internal crews, coordinate project start-up logistics, attend jobsite meetings, and ensure safety compliance. Conduct field assessments, manage redlines and as-builts, and lead client-facing construction reviews. Work hours are 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with minimal overtime (5–10 hours/month). Performance is measured by project completion and integrity.

Required Qualifications (Must‑Haves): Construction Project Management experience supporting commercial HVAC or mechanical construction projects Ability to manage multiple active construction projects and meet deadlines Strong organization, documentation, and note‑taking skills Clear verbal and written communication with crews, engineers, and leadership Ability to read and interpret construction plans / blueprints Understanding of how mechanical HVAC systems are installed in the field (for coordination and oversight) Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Willingness to travel to local construction jobsites Proven ability to coordinate field crews and maintain safety and jobsite discipline Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications (Not Required): Commercial HVAC or mechanical construction exposure Refrigeration experience (preferred, not required) Familiarity with MS Project for scheduling Familiarity with CAD drawings OSHA‑30 certification (preferred; can be provided if not already held) Ideal Background (Guidance, Not a Gate): Construction Project Manager or Field Supervisor from HVAC or adjacent construction trades Background that combines field credibility with strong planning and coordination skills Known for being prepared, organized, and proactive, rather than reactive or “on‑the‑fly” Comfortable working cross‑functionally with engineers, field crews, and customers
