Job Title: Sr Systems Analyst, HRIS (Peoplesoft)

Position Overview
The Sr Systems Analyst, HRIS is a Sr-level, hands-on HR systems expert responsible for leading the design, configuration, optimization, and integration of enterprise HR technologies. This role serves as the primary technical and functional lead for key HR systems, working across HR, IT, Finance, and Payroll to ensure stable, scalable, and compliant HR technology solutions.
This is a fully remote, long-term contract position (2 years minimum) and requires strong, recent hands-on experience with Oracle PeopleSoft 9.2 and Infinite BrassRing. The role owns complex system initiatives end to end, from requirements gathering and configuration through testing, deployment, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for enterprise HRIS platforms, with required hands-on ownership of:
- Oracle PeopleSoft 9.2 – Core HR and Benefits
- Infinite BrassRing – Recruiting and Hiring workflows
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of complex HRIS solutions supporting full employee lifecycle (hire to retire).
- Evaluate system capabilities and recommend enhancements aligned with evolving business needs, compliance requirements, and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to HR technology, data governance, system quality, and change control processes.
- Design and maintain advanced system configurations, including workflows, eligibility rules, security roles, profiles, and complex integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, data, and interface issues, ensuring data integrity and system stability.
- Partner with IT teams to design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor interfaces between HR, Payroll, Finance, and third-party vendors.
- Lead and manage HRIS-related projects, including system enhancements, module rollouts, acquisitions, and enterprise-wide improvements.
- Own and manage the full testing lifecycle, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Provide functional leadership and mentorship to HRIS analysts and business stakeholders as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications (Must Have)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5–10 years of progressive HRIS experience supporting enterprise HR systems.
- Hands-on, recent experience with Oracle PeopleSoft 9.2 (Core HR and Benefits) – required.
- Hands-on, recent experience with Infinite BrassRing – required.
- Strong experience supporting complex HR system integrations across HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT.
- Ability to read and write SQL, Visual Basic, and PeopleCode.
- Proficiency with Microsoft O365 and data analysis tools.
- Experience working within structured change control, testing, and quality processes.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate and influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred / Additional Qualifications
- Experience with Cornerstone OnDemand, particularly performance management and compensation modules.
- Experience in quality systems, audit readiness, or compliance related to HRIS or enterprise systems.
- Experience mentoring or providing functional leadership to HRIS analysts.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent HRIS projects in an enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working directly with external vendors and third-party system providers.
Work Environment & Contract Details
- Fully remote role supporting a distributed, enterprise environment.
- Long-term contract position with a minimum duration of 2 years.
- Collaborative work across HR, IT, Finance, Payroll, and external vendors.
- Day-to-day work focused on system configuration, integrations, troubleshooting, testing, and project delivery.
- High level of autonomy with ownership of critical HR systems and initiatives.
This is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
