Job Title: HR Systems Data Specialist
Job Description
The HR Systems Data Specialist is responsible for maintaining Human Resources master file information on employee records using automated HRMS systems. The role covers personal, position, pay, benefits, status, performance, and activity data. The specialist provides functional support to management and various HR departments for compensation, performance management, benefits, and employment sections. Additionally, the specialist will troubleshoot HRMS transactional issues and work with HRIS to identify trends and improvements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the integrity of employee data from position management, performance, and development to compensation and benefits perspectives.
- Create and execute queries as needed for management and internal HR.
- Collaborate with HR departments to identify audit needs and work with HRIS to develop specific audits and frequency.
- Enter and correct benefits and job data transactions as needed beyond self-service accessibility.
- Provide Tier 2 support to HR and supervisors/managers regarding employee information and change processing.
- Advise on appropriate employee transactions to use to achieve desired goals while maintaining data integrity and honoring HR policies.
- Propose enhancements to the automated HRMS systems and evaluate users’ requests.
- Leverage audit results to identify opportunities for system improvements that enhance user experience and minimize compliance risks.
- Support other HR Operations teams and projects as needed.
Essential Skills
- Strong analytical skills to resolve complex problems using mathematical and analytical thinking.
- In-depth HRMS knowledge, preferably PeopleSoft HRMS 9.2.
- Effective communication skills both orally and in writing.
- Ability to facilitate group information needs and translate them into language for Information Services.
- Training skills to instruct users in using automated HRMS systems.
- Familiarity with at least one HRMS system, with PeopleSoft HRMS 9.2 strongly preferred.
- Understanding of employment law and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Quality auditing proficiency.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with continuous improvement processes.
- Capability to work with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Boston, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
