Job Description
The HR Coordinator II supports a high-volume HR Operations team in a structured, process-driven environment. This back-end role focuses on detailed administrative and transactional HR work rather than front-facing employee relations. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently within defined processes, excels at handling large volumes of HR requests, and leverages strong analytical and critical thinking skills to resolve issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of HR transactions accurately and within established service-level expectations.
- Manage HR cases through a ticketing system, ensuring timely and professional responses and proper documentation.
- Support HR processing activities, including data entry, updates, and maintenance of employee records in HR systems.
- Prepare and process separation documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Follow structured HR operations workflows while identifying and resolving issues that fall outside of standard scripts.
- Collaborate with HR team members and cross-functional partners to resolve escalations and complex HR requests.
- Use Workday and ServiceNow (or similar HR and ticketing systems) to track, process, and close out HR cases.
- Leverage advanced Excel skills to manage, analyze, and validate HR data, reports, and tracking logs.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion and professionalism.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying process gaps or inefficiencies and sharing recommendations with the team.
- Support leave of absence and related HR processes as needed, drawing on any prior leave management experience.
- Communicate clearly and effectively via email, ticketing systems, and other channels to provide accurate information and updates to internal stakeholders.
Essential Skills
- 2–3 years of HR Operations experience in a process-driven, transactional HR environment.
- Demonstrated experience with HR processing, including data entry, updates, and employee record maintenance.
- Experience preparing and handling separation documentation and related HR workflows.
- Experience with HR case management and working within ticketing or case management systems.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems without a script and make sound judgments within defined guidelines.
- Ability to work independently, manage workload, and follow structured processes with minimal supervision.
- Advanced Excel capability, including working with spreadsheets, formulas, and data validation.
- Proficiency with Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
- Experience using ServiceNow or a comparable ticketing system for HR case management.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools for day-to-day administrative and reporting tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; an Associate’s degree is acceptable for the short term.
- Bachelor’s degree required if the role converts to a permanent position.
- Leave of absence experience or related skill set is a plus.
- SHRM certification is a nice-to-have but not required.
- PHR certification is a nice-to-have but not required.
- Backgrounds focused solely on recruiting are typically not a strong fit for this role, as it emphasizes HR operations and processing.
This is a Contract position based out of Tampa, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
