Job Overview: LabCorp is seeking a dedicated Histotechnician to join our team. As a Histotechnician, you will play a crucial role in preparing tissue samples for microscopic examination by pathologists. Your work will contribute to accurate diagnoses and impactful healthcare decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tissue Preparation: Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining procedures.
- Quality Control: Ensure all specimens are prepared according to established protocols and maintain high-quality standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and cleanliness.
- Documentation: Accurately record and maintain data related to specimen preparation and laboratory procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with pathologists and other laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate results.
- Compliance: Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines, including CLIA, CAP, and OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree in Histotechnology or related field preferred, ASCP certification preferred but not required
- Experience: Previous experience (6 months) in a histology laboratory is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficiency in histological techniques, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently.

Logistics:
Location: Lakewood, CO
Schedule: Monday – Friday (3 time options) (15% differential offered on top of base pay)
- 10:00pm-6:30am
- 12:00am-8:30am
- 2:00am-10:30am
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
