Job Title: Highway Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Highway Engineer with a passion for designing and shaping the future of transportation infrastructure. This role requires a dedicated professional with strong experience in highway design and familiarity with planning and executing engineering design projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and work with internal staff to perform necessary field work, design calculations, and plan preparation.
• Submit design plans to various clients, ensuring all phases of the engineering design project are covered.
• Design transportation geometry, prepare Highway Occupancy submissions, and create cross section and grading plans.
• Develop and implement erosion sediment control measures.
• Perform hydrology and drainage calculations.
• Layout and design water and sanitary sewer utilities.

Essential Skills

• 3 years of experience in highway design
• EIT certification
• Experience in planning and preparation for all phases of engineering design projects
• Experience with PennDOT or Turnpike projects
• Proficiency in Microstation

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Understanding of transportation and roadway design
• Skills in highway occupancy, grading plans, erosion control, and water and sanitary sewer systems
