Job Title: Highway Design Engineer

The Design Engineer – Highway will play a pivotal role in supporting transportation infrastructure projects through technical design, project delivery, and client engagement. This position involves preparing proposals and scopes of work, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including surveyors, engineers, and subconsultants. The engineer will also participate in shortlist presentations and respond to technical inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

• Prepare proposals and scopes of work for transportation infrastructure projects.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance.
• Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and subconsultants to ensure project success.
• Participate in shortlist presentations to effectively communicate project details.
• Respond to technical inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Engage with clients to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in transportation design.
• Experience with FDOT projects is required.
• Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads, MicroStation, and 3D corridor modeling.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Project is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
