Role Overview

The Sr Product Manager – Agentic AI will drive the strategy, design, and execution of autonomous and semi-autonomous AI agents within a regulated healthcare environment.

This role is focused on transforming manual workflows into AI-orchestrated systems that enhance operational efficiency, improve quality outcomes, and ensure adherence to strict clinical safety and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

• Define and execute the long-term roadmap for agentic AI capabilities
• Lead development of multi-agent orchestration systems
• Drive innovation in personalized digital front-door experiences

Workflow Transformation

• Identify high-friction manual workflows across the organization
• Break down processes into intents, actions, and data dependencies
• Design scalable solutions for AI-driven workflow automation

Architecture & Orchestration

• Collaborate with engineering teams to design agent-based system architectures
• Implement frameworks incorporating:
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
  • Tool integrations
  • Memory and state management systems

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure all AI systems adhere to:
  • HIPAA regulations
  • Clinical safety standards
  • Promotional Review Committee (PRC) requirements
• Build and maintain governance frameworks for responsible AI usage

Human-in-the-Loop (HIL) Design

• Establish standardized human-in-the-loop processes
• Define escalation paths to ensure reliability and accountability
• Ensure AI systems are auditable, trustworthy, and safe

Performance & Observability

• Own and implement evaluation frameworks (e.g., LLM-as-a-judge)
• Monitor KPIs such as:
  • Resolution accuracy
  • User engagement
  • Operational efficiency
• Continuously improve system performance through data-driven insights

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field
• Experience:
  • 7 years in product management
  • 2–5 years working with AI/ML systems or intelligent automation
• Technical Expertise:
  • Strong understanding of large language models (LLMs)
  • Experience with agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen)
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP)
• Core Skills:
  • Strong systems thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into technical execution plans

Preferred Qualifications

• Regulated Industry Experience:
• Proven experience deploying AI solutions in:
  • Healthcare
  • Life Sciences
  • Financial Services
• Platform Development:
• Experience building scalable AI platforms or internal infrastructure
• Healthcare Domain Knowledge:
  • Understanding of clinical safety standards
  • Experience with EHR integrations (e.g., FHIR APIs)
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements

This is a Contract position based out of South San Francisco, CA.

The pay range for this position is $71.00 - $95.00/hr.
