Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team focused on developing, testing, and optimizing printed circuit board (PCB) solutions. This role involves working closely with other hardware engineers, software engineers, and product teams to deliver high-functioning electrical solutions for residential and power products.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to new product design and sustaining of analog, digital, RF, and mixed-signal electronic circuit designs for residential power systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute development tasks and board validation.
- Conduct hardware functional, environmental, and lifecycle validation to ensure reliability and performance.
- Contribute to product safety, EMC, and environmental compliance efforts.
- Participate in electrical hardware reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of product and development processes.
- Support hardware troubleshooting during product development and testing.
- Document electrical system design and implementation details.
- Use standard electronics laboratory tools including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and DMM to analyze, debug, and document proper operation of electronic circuits and systems.
- Occasionally develop custom electrical equipment for specialized features or functions.
- Collaborate in developing electrical hardware development tasks, project timelines, and budgets.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering required, Master’s Degree preferred.
- 1-2 years of work experience.
- Experience collaborating on technical teams developing electrical hardware.
- Experience with circuit capture and PCB design tools such as OrCad.
- Experience with electronic circuit board modeling and simulation techniques such as PSpice.
- Working knowledge of microcontroller, microprocessor, memory, ADC, and communications technologies.
- High level of motivation and ability to collaborate effectively in a team and independently to achieve results.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with defining hardware requirements and ensuring traceability of testing to requirements.
- Knowledge of control systems used for power systems.
- Strong communication skills across diverse audiences.
- Experience with design for wireless systems including technologies like BLE, Wi-Fi, ISM, and LTE.
- RF knowledge (not required).
- Experience with module integration.
- Designing for compliance.
- UL certification/design standards.
- EMI/EMC testing awareness.
- PCB layout exposure.
- Compliance sensing design work, with some sustaining responsibilities.
- Experience interfacing with engines/motor drivers.
- Work primarily at the IC level.
Work Environment
The position operates within a connected cloud environment and IoT setting. Typically, work is conducted three days onsite in a lab environment, though the schedule is flexible. The role involves sustaining engineering and new product development (NPD) with a strong engineering experience required.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $83300.00 - $105000.00/yr.
