Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience in geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design, with a strong understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering. This role involves working on a variety of civil and environmental projects, providing technical expertise, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct geotechnical site investigations, including soil sampling and laboratory testing.
- Perform engineering analyses for foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, and earthwork.
- Prepare geotechnical reports, design recommendations, and construction specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop cost-effective and practical solutions.
- Provide field support during construction, including observation and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
- PG Licensure
- 3 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., GeoStudio, gINT, or similar).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with landfill design, environmental projects, or solid waste management.
- Familiarity with local and state regulations.
- Project management experience is a plus.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
