Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join our Geotechnical Engineering department. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with Geotechnical Investigations and Phase I Environmental Assessments across various sites, including residential, commercial, institutional, and educational projects, as well as roadways and bridges.
Responsibilities
- Conduct due diligence research for upcoming projects.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports for geotechnical and environmental studies.
- Generate plans for boring locations, undercut plans, and segmental retaining wall designs.
- Perform engineering calculations for bearing capacity, slope stability, pile capacity, and retaining wall designs.
- Review submittals for ongoing construction projects.
- Proficiency in geotechnical engineering.
- Experience with commercial and roadway construction, including design and analysis.
- Ability to perform environmental testing.
- Strong project management skills.
- Expertise in geotechnical analysis and civil engineering.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Geological Engineering.
- Three to five years of site design consulting experience.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
This role is office-based, providing a professional setting for conducting engineering research and project management.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxford, MS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
