Job Description
A Geotechnical and Material Testing firm is hiring a Geotechnical Engineer to join their expanding team. This position offers flexibility to work from offices in Tri-Cities, Spokane Valley, or Hayden, ID. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and be a licensed EIT with one year remaining to obtain a PE license in Washington. A PE license in Washington or Idaho is preferred.
Pay: 80,000-130,000
Location: Tri-Cities, Spokane Valley, or Hayden
Responsibilities
- Prepare geotechnical proposals and fee estimates
- Perform and direct subsurface exploration (drilling/test pits)
- Evaluate ground conditions and their impact on design/construction
- Conduct geotechnical design and analysis (foundations, retaining walls, slope stability, liquefaction, settlement, seismic assessments)
- Prepare geotechnical engineering evaluations and reports
- Lead business development and marketing efforts
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering or related discipline
- Licensed EIT with ability to obtain PE license within 1 year
- 4 years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Experience with test and bore pits and report generation
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
Disqualifiers
- No EIT or PE license path
- Less than 4 years of geotechnical experience
- No experience with subsurface exploration or report writing
- Lack of AutoCAD or geotechnical software familiarity

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
