Front Office Medical Assistant

Actalent is looking for a front-office medical assistant located in Bedford, TX!

Location: Bedford, TX

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay Rate: $21–$22 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Front Office Medical Assistant to join our team in Bedford, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative and patient-facing skills, along with prior experience in insurance verification and prior authorizations. This role is essential in ensuring smooth daily operations and providing excellent patient service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient check-in and check-out procedures
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments
• Process referrals as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting within the EMR system
• Handle prior authorization requests and follow-ups
• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist patients with inquiries
• Ensure compliance with office policies and healthcare regulations

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of front office medical assisting experience required
• Must have prior authorization experience
• Must have insurance verification experience
• Familiarity with EMR systems
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical office environment

This is a Contract position based out of Bedford, TX.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
