Job Title: Foundry Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Foundry Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and managing tooling schedules, as well as extensive experience in sand casting and simulation software. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can lead projects, develop junior engineers, and ensure high-quality production processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage tooling schedules for new builds, revisions, and repairs.
- Estimate pattern costs and provide input for quotes.
- Review casting drawings for accuracy and feasibility.
- Utilize 3D CAD and simulation software (such as MagmaSoft) for mold and rigging design.
- Lead the Pattern Storage Department and communicate effectively with internal and external teams.
- Develop and train junior engineers on manufacturing best practices.
Essential Skills
- Extensive experience in sand casting, with a preference for green sand.
- Proficiency in tooling design and foundry operations.
- Expertise in using simulation software, including MagmaSoft and ProCast.
- Proficient in 3D CAD applications.
- A minimum of 7 years in a Foundry Engineering role, with a preference for ferrous castings.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Materials Science preferred.
Work Environment
This role operates within a foundry environment where products are manufactured using molten metal castings. The work setting can be very hot at times, requiring adherence to safety protocols and awareness of environmental conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $62.50/hr.
