We are seeking a Floater Phlebotomist with experience in performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and decontaminating equipment. The ideal candidate will update patient information and ensure the collection and storage of specimens adhere to established procedures.
Responsibilities- Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
- Explain the venipuncture and specimen collection processes clearly and courteously.
- Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
- Fully understand all physicians' orders.
- Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, and label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required.
- Ensure 100% accuracy by checking all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts.
- Package specimens for transport and maintain specimen integrity by following specific protocols.
- Comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
- Attend annual department trainings.
- Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.

- GED or High School Diploma
- 2 years of phlebotomy experience in a high volume patient service center or oncology center
This position is a floating role based out of the Jersey City office, requiring travel within the county, up to 30-50 miles. Mileage reimbursement is provided for tolls and parking. Work hours are Monday to Friday, with shifts between 7 am and 7 pm, totaling an 8-hour work day.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
