Field Engineer

Description

This position provides engineering knowledge and expertise to the Technical Services department with an emphasis on consumer products. It will require technical and interpersonal aptitude to fully initiate and complete technical assignments that focus on product performance and customer service. Key responsibilities include field investigations, technical education, product and service evaluations, organization and control of engineering information, database maintenance, control of test tires and engineering equipment, acquisition of outside engineering services and supplies, preparation of product samples, composition of engineering analysis and presentations.

1. Field Investigations, product and service evaluation - Conduct technically valid field investigations, communicate results effectively and coordinate follow-up - Have increasing knowledge of products and technical services related to the consumer tire market 2. Technical education - Provide technical training to field sales staff and customers as needed - Participate in design and creation of training materials that increase brand value and customers’ effectiveness in use of Yokohama products 3. Engineering information management - Organize and plan training sessions and work with different vendors to cover material needed for training program 4. Technical analysis, reporting and presentation - Demonstrate increasing skill with technical information while providing technical support to internal staff and customers - Utilize engineering knowledge and experience to accomplish engineering objectives and provide support for internal engineering projects 5. Vendor coordination - Communicate to vendors for effective vendor involvement and coordinate activities to accomplish goals within predetermined timelines and resource limits 6. Other tasks - Complete other tasks as required by Technical Services management

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cornelius, NC.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Cornelius,NC.
