Location: West Loop / Fulton Market, Chicago (Hybrid: 3 days in-office / 2 remote | Half-day Fridays)

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing

• Play a key role in a large-scale restaurant refresh initiative across North America
• Design and optimize kitchen layouts and ordering spaces to enhance efficiency and guest experience
• Analyze customer and employee traffic flow to improve functionality and space utilization
• Create and revise construction documents in AutoCAD (floor plans, elevations, sections, details)
• Redline and update existing drawings to meet evolving project needs
• Coordinate with vendors, architects, and project teams to ensure design accuracy and execution
• Support equipment layouts including kitchen systems, plumbing, utilities, and service stations
• Ensure compliance with ADA standards and brand guidelines
• Partner with cross-functional teams (architecture, interiors, graphics, engineering) to deliver cohesive designs
• Contribute to branding and signage placement to maintain visual consistency across locations

✅ What You Bring

• 2 years of professional experience (non-academic) in design or drafting
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (this is a must-have)
• Proven experience with space planning or facility layout design
• Ability to read, review, and mark up technical drawings with precision
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-driven environment
• Motivated, proactive, and eager to take ownership of your work

• Experience in restaurant, retail, or commercial design
• Exposure to kitchen layouts or food service environments
• Familiarity with Bluebeam, Autodesk Design Review, or similar tools
• Interest or experience in branding and signage coordination

This is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL.

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $31.00/hr.
