Environmental Technician

Environmental Technician opening with a national environmental consulting firm's team based in Lenhartsville, PA. Entry-level position with good training and opportunity for advancement to Test Engineer I ($26.00/Hour starting) within first 6-to-12 months.

Candidates must be comfortable with 30-40% regional travel and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Perform air emissions testing and monitoring services at a variety of industrial facilities.
• Record and analyze data, collect samples.
• Transport and set up testing equipment using a company vehicle; dismantle equipment post-testing.
• Calibrate testing equipment and assist engineers in conducting air quality testing procedures.
• Adhere to environmental, health, and safety protocols.
• Organize and prepare equipment for upcoming projects.
• Gain proficiency in EPA Test Methods 1-5 using company resources.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field is preferred.
• Previous experience working in a field-based / hands-on role.
• Experience using scientific instruments to run tests, collect samples and record data.
• Team player with strong initiative
• Ability to travel during the work week
• Comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 75 lbs.

Additional Information:

• Career Path: Test Technician - Test Engineer I/II - Project Supervisor - Project Manager - Sr. Project Manager.
• Company vehicle provided for travel. All travel time, expenses, lodging additional $72 per diem are paid by company.
• Typical travel projects require 2-to-5 days out of town during the standard work week, Monday-Friday.
• Frequent overtime earned when working in the field, paid at 1.5x rate.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenhartsville, PA.

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $22.50/hr.
