Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician to join a growing team supporting commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects throughout the Milwaukee area. This is a hands-on, field-focused role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring construction quality and compliance with engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials such as soil, concrete, and asphalt
- Conduct soil compaction testing and monitor site conditions
- Perform concrete testing (slump, air content, and cylinder samples)
- Accurately document and report test results
- Communicate findings with project managers, engineers, and contractors
- Ensure all work complies with project specifications and safety standards
- Maintain testing equipment and adhere to quality control procedures
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in construction, fieldwork, or materials testing is a plus (training available for entry-level candidates)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35000.00 - $50000.00/hr.
