Join a growing environmental consulting team working on impactful projects that help transform and revitalize communities throughout NYC. We are seeking an Environmental Engineer/Geologist with 3 years of experience to support a variety of environmental investigation, remediation, and regulatory compliance projects.

This role offers the opportunity to work directly on projects involving NYCOER and NYSDEC programs, collaborating with experienced professionals on site assessments, remedial actions, brownfield redevelopment, and environmental due diligence efforts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Phase II environmental site assessments, including well installations, soil borings, and drilling.
• Conduct environmental fieldwork, including Phase I and Phase II sampling, CAMP, and remediation oversight.
• Write detailed and comprehensive reports.
• Manage remediation sites and perform soil sampling.

Essential Skills

• 3 years of experience in the environmental field.
• Experience with NYC OER or DEC projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or Environmental Engineering.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in oversight of Phase II environmental site assessments.
• Knowledge of CAMP and remediation sites.
• OSHA 30 certification, 40-hour HAZWOPER, and SST certifications.

Work Environment

The work environment is a blend of field and office work, with 60%-70% of the time spent in the field and the rest in the office. Work hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.87/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
