Environmental Health And Safety Speciailist

We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to support a site located in Wilmington, NC. This role involves maintaining EHS projects and assisting in achieving operational excellence. The contract EHS professional will provide support in various areas, including day-to-day EHS activities, safety inspections, incident investigations, and safety program initiatives.

• Assist with day-to-day EHS activities, safety inspections, and recordkeeping.
• Support incident investigations, corrective action tracking, and safety program initiatives.
• Provide coverage during peak project periods or project start-ups.
• Conduct pre-job briefs and EHS observations.

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline from an accredited university or college.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS in an industrial manufacturing environment.

• Ability to conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and safety observations.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering a strong safety culture.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging employees at all levels.
• Experience in the nuclear industry.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Strong organizational skills for managing records, reports, and compliance documentation.

The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, involving collaboration with employees at all levels. The role requires adaptability to shifting priorities and maintaining a strong safety culture. The environment will include exposure to industrial manufacturing and nuclear industry settings.

This is a Contract position based out of Wilmington, NC.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Wilmington,NC.
