We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to support a site located in Wilmington, NC. This role involves maintaining EHS projects and assisting in achieving operational excellence. The contract EHS professional will provide support in various areas, including day-to-day EHS activities, safety inspections, incident investigations, and safety program initiatives.
Responsibilities- Assist with day-to-day EHS activities, safety inspections, and recordkeeping.
- Support incident investigations, corrective action tracking, and safety program initiatives.
- Provide coverage during peak project periods or project start-ups.
- Conduct pre-job briefs and EHS observations.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in EHS in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Ability to conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and safety observations.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a strong safety culture.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging employees at all levels.
- Experience in the nuclear industry.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Strong organizational skills for managing records, reports, and compliance documentation.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
