What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Electrical Engineer position at Actalent?
We provide a full suite of Cartridge Actuated Devices (CADs) and Propellant Actuated Devices (PADS), which have been a part of every successful launch into space; providing safety while on the launch pad; ensuring vehicle motor start while providing key flight termination capability if needed; providing separation of motor stages in flight and ensuring the payload is delivered as needed.
Description:
- Analyzes research data and proposed product specifications to determine feasibility of product proposal.
- Performs experiments to determine necessary engineering parameters. Discusses, analyzes, summarizes and publishes with appropriate personnel, test results. Uses test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications. Evaluates test results for possible application to development of other uses.
- Prepares or directs preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings and schematics. Performs project and system design.
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks.
- Prepares design modifications as required.
- Makes recommendations to appropriate personnel on improvements to current production processes leading to increased efficiency.
- Coordinates activities with appropriate approval agencies to ensure compliance of new products with industry standards.
- Coordinates completion of all documents required to produce new products including creating of assembly drawings, creation of bills of materials and routing in the business system and any other documentation required.
- Provides engineering and manufacturing support on new and/or existing products when problems arise with manufacturing or approval processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Electrical CAD software (Cadence, PSpice, OrCAD)

Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
