Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Hardware Engineer to design, review, and optimize cable systems within complex electrical systems. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate cable and power solutions effectively.
Responsibilities
- Design, review, and optimize cable designs for complex electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
- Perform power evaluations, load calculations, and optimization studies to improve system efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cable and power solutions into larger system designs.
- Prepare detailed documentation, drawings, and technical reports for design reviews and approvals.
- Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and quality standards throughout the design process.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on cable design.
- Proficiency in power system analysis and optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with relevant design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, cable sizing tools, power analysis software).
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work onsite 100% and collaborate effectively with team members.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with high-voltage or specialized cable systems.
- Knowledge of power distribution systems and energy efficiency strategies.
- Strong communication skills for technical discussions and documentation.
Work Environment
The work environment requires onsite presence 100%, allowing for effective collaboration with team members. You will utilize various design tools and software, including AutoCAD and cable sizing tools. The role demands adherence to safety and quality standards within a dynamic and innovative setting.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Liverpool, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $70.00/hr.
