We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Aerospace Business Unit Teams. You will be responsible for creating innovative design solutions for both digital and analog electrical systems, specifically in control electronics for aerospace actuation. Responsibilities- Design and analyze electrical systems with a focus on power electronics and analog circuitry.
- Deliver complete hardware solutions from schematic capture to functional hardware.
- Design and model motor drives, control systems, and power electronics for various machines in aerospace applications.
- Design and analyze EMI filters to meet emissions and susceptibility requirements.
- Perform analyses such as worst-case, stress, power, and failure mode; verify circuit performance using tools like PSpice and ORCAD.
- Develop and execute verification and validation test plans; oversee prototype builds and lead troubleshooting and root cause investigations.
- Review customer specifications, develop technical requirements, and ensure compliance with aerospace standards and policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition new products into production and support program management, certification, and customer needs.
- Engage with customers and suppliers to interpret requirements, provide technical support, and foster strong relationships.
- Manage schedules and resources to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Communicate effectively across teams and prepare technical documentation and customer reports.
- Travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally, for customer visits and industry meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- 3-6 years of engineering experience in a high technology manufacturing environment.
- Proven record of providing solutions to complex problems with minimal supervision.
- Experience in mentoring engineers.
- Authorization to work in the US.
- Proficiency in analog and digital design, circuit card design, and power electronics.
- Familiarity with aerospace/defense systems and standards.
- Experience with tools such as DOORS, EMI testing, and aerospace engineering.
The role requires onsite presence every day due to essential work functions. The work schedule is 8 hours per day, 5 days a week. The dress code is casual, offering a comfortable work environment.
