Electrical Engineer
Join a dynamic team where you will collaborate in an Agile environment with other engineering disciplines and program personnel. Your role will involve performing engineering research, design, development, modification, and evaluation in support of complex systems and their components, equipment, sub-systems, and networks.
Responsibilities
- Conduct trade studies and perform dynamic analyses.
- Allocate and trace requirements, develop algorithms, and author test procedures.
- Verify requirements, integrate and test systems.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve defects.
- Interface with vendors and customers.
- Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines to deliver quality products.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in analog and digital circuits.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities.
- Hands-on testing experience.
- Familiarity with tools like oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
- Experience with Matlab and integration testing.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- An active US Security Clearance (Secret or higher) or the ability to obtain an Interim Clearance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with common laboratory engineering tools including logic analyzers, power supplies, function generators, and digital multi-meters.
Work Environment
Located in Syracuse, NY, our large campus includes secured areas and a workforce of approximately 1600 people, with over 700 in Engineering. The Systems Engineering group is made up of around 180 people, divided into requirements, system integration, system test, and special systems. Our work schedule is a 9/80, with flexible work hours. Employees can enjoy a four-day workweek with Fridays off if they choose. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Liverpool, NY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
