Electrical Engineer (Mid-Level) – Building Systems / Federal Projects

This is a Mid-level Electrical Engineer supporting building systems design in a consulting (MEP/AEC) environment. This role focuses on hands-on electrical design and supports multidisciplinary project delivery across complex facilities. The engineer will support power and building systems design for complex facilities while collaborating with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate is capable of independently executing core design work while contributing to broader project delivery. This role supports increased workload tied to upcoming project opportunities. This role is expected to execute design work independently with guidance from senior engineers. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Perform electrical design for: o Power distribution systems o Lighting systems o Low voltage systems Develop: o Construction drawings o Specifications o Design packages Perform: o Load calculations o Equipment sizing o Panel schedules Support: o Exposure to medium voltage systems (e.g., generators, transformers, switchgear) o Generators, transformers, switchgear Coordinate with: o Architects, mechanical engineers, civil/structural teams Assist with: o Construction administration o Submittals and field coordination

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering • 5–10 years of experience in electrical building systems design • Experience in a consulting engineering environment (MEP / AEC) • Strong background in: o Power distribution systems o Electrical calculations • Proficiency in: o AutoCAD (required) • Ability to: o Execute design independently o Support multiple projects simultaneously Preferred • Revit experience (production OR working proficiency) • Exposure to: Federal / DoD / public-sector projects • Background in: Healthcare, infrastructure, industrial, or complex facilities Experience with: o Medium voltage systems o Generator systems o Utility coordination

This is a Permanent position based out of Irvine, CA.

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $67.00/hr.
