Job Description
Join our team as an Electrical Designer where you will be responsible for the electrical design of lighting and power systems for various horizontal projects. This role involves performing electrical calculations using engineering formulas and specialized software, preparing point-by-point lighting calculations, ensuring energy code compliance, and preparing project specifications. You will also be tasked with researching code requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design electrical lighting and power systems for horizontal projects.
- Perform electrical calculations utilizing engineering formulas and software.
- Prepare point-by-point lighting calculations and ensure energy code compliance.
- Develop and prepare detailed project specifications.
- Conduct research on code requirements to ensure project adherence.
- Proficiency in electrical engineering and design.
- Experience with Microstation and AGI32 software.
- 3 years of experience in electrical engineering/design for transportation (roadway/railway) or ITS and signals.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Experience with Microstation and Revit is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
You will be part of a dynamic team with a strong backlog of work, providing opportunities for career advancement into a Project Manager role. The projects involve collaboration with DEN and CDOT, reflecting ongoing success in securing new work.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41.00 - $48.00/hr.
