What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership & Growth

• Define the vision and execute a 3-year growth strategy for electric utilities services across the Midwest
• Expand offerings across:
  • Distribution engineering
  • Substation engineering and planning
  • Transmission engineering (line design, rebuilds, reconductoring)
• Identify new service lines and position the firm as a trusted partner to utilities

Business Development

• Drive revenue growth and market expansion
• Leverage and build relationships with utility clients and stakeholders
• Lead or support pursuits, proposals, and client engagement strategy

Technical Excellence

• Establish and maintain high-quality standards in:
  • Distribution systems
  • Substation design and planning
  • Transmission engineering
• Ensure strong engineering credibility and technical delivery

Team Leadership & Development

• Build and lead a scalable, high-performing team
• Recruit, mentor, and develop talent
• Define roles, expectations, and performance standards
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and collaboration

Operational Alignment

• Collaborate across the Mechanical/Electrical practice
• Align strategy with execution, utilization, and project delivery goals

What You Bring

• Extensive experience in electric utilities engineering
• Strong experience in:
  • Distribution, substation, and/or transmission systems
• Proven leadership experience growing teams and business lines
• Strategic thinker with the ability to execute and deliver results
• Experience with tools such as:
  • PLS-CADD, CYME, ETAP
• Knowledge of standards:
  • IEEE, NESC, RUS
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills

The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $175000.00/yr.
