The Design/Drafting Engineer will be responsible for reviewing engineering drawings throughout the release process. This role involves making corrections to drawings, routing them for approval, and creating inspection plans for implementation in the MES system. The position is fully onsite, with core working hours from 9 AM to 4 PM, and offers opportunities for overtime.
Responsibilities- Review and correct engineering drawings from various teams.
- Route drawings for approval and ensure timely release.
- Create and implement inspection plans based on engineering specifications.
- Update inspection routings based on feedback from quality labs.
- Assist in the system migration process, adhering to project deadlines.
- 3-5 years of drafting experience with CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in GD&T dimensioning standards.
- Experience with MES/ERP systems.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and independently.
- Experience with Siemens NX and Oracle is a plus.
- Familiarity with inspection tools and techniques.
- Hands-on experience in drafting or related fields is advantageous.
- A degree or certification in SolidWorks is desirable but not required.
The position involves an 80% office and 20% floor work distribution, primarily working with CAD and drawing systems. The role involves collaboration with a team of 14 Quality Engineers and 6 Lab Technicians. The work environment is dynamic, with an emphasis on impactful and engaging tasks.
