Distribution Planner

Lead the technical execution of complex electric distribution engineering projects, mentor junior engineers, and deliver innovative solutions to enhance grid reliability and resiliency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and preparation of technical reports for overhead and underground electric distribution systems.
• Provide expert consultation on complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on advanced technical projects.
• Develop discipline work plans and ensure that projects meet budget and schedule requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their technical work.
• Support the development of proposals and client presentations.

• Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Advanced knowledge in CYME, SCL Devices, Syncrowave, Utility plans, and Distribution engineering

• Expertise in Volt-VAR optimization, power quality, and protection coordination
• Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures and engineering laws
• Leadership and communication skills
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit

This is a 100% fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere in the US. Time zones are flexible, provided you can accommodate meetings or virtual calls as needed. The role requires a standard 40-hour workweek.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albany, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $72.00/hr.
