Job Title: Design Engineering ManagerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Design Engineering Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in leading our engineering team and ensuring that projects meet specifications, deadlines, and budget requirements. As a Design Engineering Manager, you will orchestrate the efforts of engineering teams to align with global engineering codes and standards, focusing on aerospace and industrial connector contacts.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the engineering team and facilitate team meetings for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Drive actions and monitor the progress of engineers and engineering technicians in support of product qualification and value stream team objectives.
  • Design, control, and implement Electromechanical products with a focus on aerospace and industrial connector contacts.
  • Develop manufacturing processes according to global engineering codes and standards.
  • Manage engineering projects and ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with customers and team members to define product needs and requirements.
  • Ensure installations and applications align with customer needs and safety standards.
  • Conduct research to create new applications and processes.
  • Summarize data and report on test results.
  • Maintain functionality of Process and Product Development Engineer duties in assigned areas.
  • Ensure the utilization of formal documentation techniques.
  • Examine needs for new equipment, calculate costs, and assist in budget preparation.
  • Continuously improve company products and processes.
  • Execute departmental administrative duties related to attendance, conditional release of purchase requisitions, and performance management systems.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in Mil Specs, MilSpecs, Mil-Specs, Military Specifications, and related fields.
  • Experience with Contacts and Connectors, including Mil Spec Contactors and Mil Spec Connectors.
  • Proficiency in Solidworks, Mechanical Design, and Mechanical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with Industrial Contacts and Connector Contact Production.
  • Experience in Product Development, Lean Manufacturing, and SAP.
  • Proficiency in 3D Design and 5S methodology.
  • Knowledge of ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, and ANSI Z41-1991 standards.
  • Understanding of ITAR, EAR, and Export Administration Regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • A blend of leadership skills and engineering acumen is required.
  • Ability to guide the team through complex challenges while fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Franklin, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $135000.00 - $155000.00/yr.
