The Demolition Superintendent is responsible for managing all aspects of demolition operations on active job sites. This role ensures that demolition activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all regulatory and environmental standards. The Superintendent serves as the primary field leader, coordinating crews, equipment, and subcontractors to meet project goals and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily demolition operations including structural teardown, debris removal, and site clearance
- Enforce safety protocols in accordance with OSHA, NDA, and environmental regulations
- Develop and implement site-specific plans such as Sediment and Erosion Control, Spill Prevention, and Dust Mitigation
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and budget
- Manage heavy equipment logistics including high-reach excavators and specialized demolition tools
- Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and look-ahead schedules
- Participate in pre-construction planning, job walks, and proposal development
- Supervise and train field crews, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standard
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.09 - $64.90/hr.
