Data Center Technical Operations Engineer

The Data Center Technical Operations Engineer will be responsible for overseeing engineering operations within a data center, focusing on risk management, maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting.

• Manage on-site shift technicians, senior shift technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring all work aligns with established practices and procedures.
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility operations and maintenance.
• Collaborate with IT managers and business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and enhance plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Operate and manage routine and emergency services on critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, and building monitoring systems.
• Assist in the design and build-out of new facilities, as well as projects aimed at increasing current facility efficiency.
• Manage asset and inventory.
• Participate in recruiting efforts.
• Deliver quality service and meet all customer demands.

• Bachelor's Degree or Technical Military/Trade School Degree and relevant experience.
• 0-2 years of relevant work experience and management experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize in complex fast-paced environments.

• 0-2 years of Data Center Engineering or Management experience.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
• Fundamental knowledge of network design and layout, including low voltage copper/fiber cabling.

The position involves working 40 hours a week from Monday through Friday within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Employees may work on projects eligible for conversion if they meet qualifications.

This is a Contract position based out of Mesa, AZ.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Mesa,AZ.
