Job Title: Controls Specialist
Job Description
As a Controls Specialist, you will work both independently and collaboratively to support capital projects and implement solutions. Your expertise will help improve performance and achieve key goals by coordinating operations, managing commissioning activities, and providing critical updates.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate operations technicians' work schedules and manpower forecasts.
- Manage and track commissioning constraints and deficiencies related to the schedule or quality of Basebuild utility systems post-construction.
- Integrate construction and design schedules with commissioning activities.
- Provide reports and updates on schedule and quality metrics.
- Conduct system and facility engineering job walk assessments.
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause failure analysis on assigned projects.
- Train suppliers in commissioning software systems.
- Manage supplier access to commissioning software systems.
- Interface smoothly with engineering design team members and client representatives.
Essential Skills
- Allen Bradley experience (troubleshooting or programming)
- PLC's
- I/O Checkouts
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
- Associate's degree or technical certification in electrical, mechanical, or control systems engineering or a related field is required. Direct experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience conducting I/O checkouts.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of New Carlisle, IN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $60.00/hr.
