What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controls Project Engineer position at Actalent?
The Controls Engineer will work for a brick-and-mortar organization serving a variety of different industries, including agriculture, grain handling, chemical processing, metals, discreet manufacturing, pet foods, etc.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage electrical elements of projects from design to completion
- Control panel design
- Material ordering
- Control system programming
- On-site commissioning
- Ongoing support, including supporting customer systems, maintaining customer relationships, and willing to stay up to date with the latest industry standards in programming and electrical engineering technology.
Software/Programming:
- Allen Bradley PLCs
- HMI Interface
- AutoCAD
Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering (ideally electrical) from an ABET accredited university & 2 years of experience OR
- An Associates in Engineering (ideally electrical) & 4 years experience
- PLC Programming experience, specifically with Allen Bradley
