Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Lead Protection & Control (P&C) Engineer to support Transmission & Distribution (T&D) substation projects across AC, HVDC, and FACTS systems. This engineer will collaborate with designers, peer engineers, and project leadership to define, design, and coordinate all technical aspects of HV/EHV substation protection and control.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive, customer‑focused approach. This role may also function as a Project Engineer for small to mid‑sized projects that are heavily focused on secondary engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and integration of protection and control systems for HV/EHV substations.
- Coordinate all technical project aspects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements.
- Oversee system integration and engineering optimization at the project level.
- Prepare engineering documents including protection schemes, control diagrams, logic diagrams, and SCADA interfaces.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on relay settings, factory acceptance testing, and field commissioning support.
- Serve as a technical point of contact for customer inquiries and project issues.
- Provide engineering leadership for small to medium substation projects.

Job Type & Location

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
