Construction Superintendent

My client is a global leading AEC Firm in Centra/North Jersey looking for a motivated superintendent to join their team. This person will be responsible for leading daily union crews on a $50M pharmaceutical lab project. Job Title: Construction Superintendent

Job Description

• Oversee daily trade activities — Lead assigned vendors and union subcontractors to meet project goals and weekly schedules.
• Manage life‑science construction — Support complex pharma/manufacturing builds
• Ensure safety & compliance — Drive site safety objectives, review JSA documentation, and enforce regulatory requirements.
• Maintain project quality — Oversee workmanship, review submittals, and ensure all trades meet project standards.
• Coordinate with clients — Interact with site‑level client teams and promote strong, positive relationships.
• Support project planning — Assist in developing preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans.
• Track schedules & budgets — Help maintain targeted vs. actual schedules and identify budget exceptions for assigned trades.
• Manage change control — Evaluate T&M requests, support change documentation, and validate cost legitimacy.
• Lead field communication — Facilitate communication between subcontractors, vendors, and project personnel.
• Conduct site inspections — Perform regular field evaluations and contribute to daily reports on conditions, manpower, and safety.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Flemington, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $67.30/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
