Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join a growing team in the Milwaukee area. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial and/or industrial construction projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and project budgets for construction projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate pricing
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
• Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment
• Identify project risks and provide value engineering recommendations
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers throughout the bidding process
• Maintain accurate cost data and historical project information
• Assist with bid submissions, proposals, and client presentations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 2–5 years of estimating experience (open to level depending on role)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project lifecycles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (Bluebeam, Procore, or similar)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with commercial and/or industrial construction projects
• Background in design-build environments
• Familiarity with local subcontractors and market pricing

This is a Permanent position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $57.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Milwaukee,WI.
