Job Title: Configuration Management Analyst
Job Description
We are seeking a Configuration Management Analyst to support full-lifecycle configuration management activities. This role collaborates closely with hardware, software, systems, test, and operations teams to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance across engineering deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Accomplish baseline configuration management for hardware, software, systems, tests, and all controlled documentation/reports by owning and executing change control board (CCB) and CM process improvements.
- Identify, organize, and control configuration changes, version controls, baseline management, and engineering releases. Coordinate Engineering Change Requests/Notices (ECR/ECNs) and approve documents per company procedures.
- Coordinate ECNs with Engineering and Operations to identify implementation/effectivity and maintain tools for standardizing drawing and document release reviews.
- Identify, coordinate, and drive processes for version management, system build, archiving, and change management by chairing the configuration control board.
- Coordinate and support peer reviews, engineering reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, TIM), and program reviews while maintaining production, engineering design, and test templates.
- Monitor and manage parts obsolescence.
- Manage the counterfeit parts program.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of configuration management experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt to change and a fast-paced working environment
- Working knowledge of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management tools (Arena or equivalent) is a plus
- Familiarity with space industry standard EEE-INST-002 is a plus
- Familiarity with aerospace DO-178, DO-254, and Mil Standards are a plus
- Technical writing and proofreading experience are desirable
- Components Engineering experience for mil/aero and/or space programs is a plus
- Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as cohesively within a team environment with minimal supervision
